Congress to Revoke Ban on COW Slaughter - Karnataka

Congress to Revoke Ban on COW Slaughter - Karnataka

The new Congress government in Karnataka wants to remove Previous BJP governments complete ban on Cow Slaughter. Our new CM Siddaramaiah is willing to implement “Karnataka Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 1964”. Scope of this 1964 Act is restricted to the slaughter of cows, calf and she-buffaloes, but allowed slaughter of bulls, bullocks and buffaloes if they were aged above 12 or if they were no longer fit for breeding or draught or did not give milk.
The 1964 Act said that anyone violating the law can be punished with imprisonment up to maximum of 6 months or fine of up to Rs. 1,000 or both. The crime is treated as a cognisable offence. However the 1964 Act says its cognizable offence, means  its a criminal offence in which the police is empowered to register an FIR, investigate, and arrest an accused without a court issued warrant but see the other parts of the punishment where it is only 6 months of jail or 1000 rupees fine. This is loop hole for many butchers. They are making crores of business by slaughtering Cow’s and exporting beef to European and American markets. They just come out of jail by paying the fine which is way-way less or spend 6 months in jail, which is nothing when compared to revenue they earn. There is a popular opinion in American & Europian markets that Indian Cow’s meat is more tastier, rich in protein, fats and carbohydrates. That’s the biggest reason for Indian Cow Butchers soaring business and even politicians are benefitting from this, as they get big bucks for this. From past 2 years India is the leading exporter of beef.

These butcher houses claim that they only slaughter old, diseased and handicapped cows. But this is never the case they all ways kill innocent, well built cows and buffaloes, because they get healthy meat and good price for it in the market. And even they got extreme, by breaking legs of the cattle and get doctor certified, that this cow or buffalo is handicapped and not fit for farming or milking, and take them to slaughter house. That is the reason we are number one exporters of beef in the world, otherwise just killing handicapped or aged cows nobody can produce such amounts of meat.
I just want to ask a simple question to our reader’s and law makers, if our parents are old, should we throw them out of the society, just because they are no-more working population. If we have handicapped childrens, will the parents abandon them or the government sell them to another country or kill them. Infact aged parents are taken care very nicely in our society, we have age-old homes and ashram’s, for handicapped childrens we have separate schools and schemes. Why this don’t apply to animals and cattle’s, we drink a cow’s milk for nearly 8-10 years of her life span, we use them for years in farming, we use them for transportation and once she stops giving milk or aged we kill her, is this humanity. Will this same argument apply to our mothers?

India is the land where we worship cow as “Mother”. She gives more than, what we give to her. Our entire ancient civilization survived or came this much forward because Cow, Bulls & buffaloes were the backbone of our economy in past times. In Gujarat, women first offer meals to cow every morning and then they start having them in their houses. This is the culture still followed in all parts of india as well. And we know that Indian Cow’s milk is the best milk in entire world. Its products like curd, ghee, butter are our main course food in our kitchen. Cow’s urine as anti-cancer properties and it has been patented in US as a medicine. Cow-dung is anti-radiation specialist and is used as a natural fertilizer’s in organic farming. This cow gives so much to humanity that, we are not even repaying it back atleast little, just because it’s a mouth-less or speechless animal. Cant we think that these animal’s also have feelings, pain, happiness, family on this planet. Infact we human beings have become cruel entity or like animals.
How they are killed in Butcher’s House :

Cows & buffaloes are kept starving for 3 days, such that if it starves before dying there will be less fat in the flesh and meat will be in healthy(good quality) state for long time. They are hanged vertically downside for a day or two, in this process blood comes out of nose and mouth of the animal. Later hot water with temperature measuring 150-200 degree celcius is poured on the animal, because of this skin becomes loose and can be peeled off easily before it is killed. This is the skin which is sold for leather industries. Later on 4th or 5th day, the cattle will be killed by cutting its neck part, as they can draine out blood from the body easily. This healthy blood is used in pharmaceutical industries for preparing vitamin tonic’s and drugs. Its bones are used in making toothpaste, and its horns are used to prepare stylish shirt buttons.
My eyes becomes wet, when I think of how this animal is killed. Even while dying this animal offers everything from its body to the greedy human beings. We don’t know what Karnataka congress government will do on this bill anti-Cow slaughter, I am not even telling my readers to go and protest in front of vidhana-soudha or in front of CM’s house. But I want you people to make cow’s more holy, by making your mind think as a human being. Give donations to GO-Shala, for they are doing good by keeping Cow’s throught their life-time. Shake the hand of a Cow-boy who is taking the cows for grazing, he is no less than a “God Krishna”. Give a thanks to a milk man, who delivers Goshala milk to doorstep. Help these Cow surrounding society, with money and respect. In this way we can send out strong message across society but animal protection.
These were Mahatma Gandhi’s statements on Cow-Protection.
Gandhi For Cows :

“The cow is the purest type of sub-human life. She pleads before us on behalf of the whole of the sub-human species for justice to it at the hands of man, the first among all that lives. She seems to speak to us through her eyes: 'you are not appointed over us to kill us and eat our flesh or otherwise ill-treat us, but to be our friend and guardian”.
“I would not kill a human being for protection a cow, as I will not kill a cow for saving a human life, be it ever so precious”.
“Cow slaughter can never be stopped by law. Knowledge, education, and the spirit of kindliness towards her alone can put an end to it. It will not be possible to save those animals that are a burden on the land or, perhaps, even man if he is a burden”.
“Cow protection to me is not mere protection of the cow. It means protection of that lives and is helpless and weak in the world”.
“I worship it and I shall defend its worship against the whole world”.
“Mother cow is in many ways better than the mother who gave us birth. Our mother gives us milk for a couple of years and then expects us to serve her when we grow up. Mother cow expects from us nothing but grass and grain. Our mother often falls ill and expects service from us. Mother cow rarely falls ill. Here is an unbroken record of service which does not end with her death. Our mother, when she dies, means expenses of burial or cremation. Mother cow is as useful dead as when she is alive. We can make use of every part of her body-her flesh, her bones, her intestines, her horns and her skin. Well, I say this not to disparage the mother who gives us birth, but in order to show you the substantial reasons for my worshipping the cow”.
BOYCOTT :
Boycott all products which are made by killing animals.

Government :
The Chief Minister of karnataka should focus and work towards the more pressing issues of drinking water scarcity and power shortage and help restore agriculture supremacy rather than work towards pleasing certain sections of the society.
